Hi my name is Wynne Weddell, I am a member of the Yankton Sioux tribe, specializing in handmade beaded adornments. My designs bridge traditional beadwork styles with modern imagery and vibrant colors. I spent my childhood and adolescent years on the Ihanktonwan reservation in South Dakota, and in 2013 I moved to the Pacific Northwest where I spent many years studying environmental conservation and exploring mountains, forests, and ocean shores.

Currently, I reside in southern Arizona where I enjoy spending time in the diverse landscapes of the Sonoran Desert, and creating vibrant beadwork. My hand-crafted original creations are inspired by wilderness landscapes, rich traditional culture, and the intricate beauty of life itself. My beading journey began as a form of healing medicine in coping with the climate change and social injustice issues of today. I am passionate about the intersection of Native cultural reclamation and environmental conservation, and rainbows.
